I love photography but I don't like to be photographed.
Sorry

TL;DR: Just a nerd who fell in love with the design behind the screen and worked hard to make it his job.
First thing first: why Ma.Re? MArco REnna. Simple as that.
Since I was very young I felt my being as it was split in two different parts: one passionate about what we usually call humanities (from literature to arts), and the other one that pushed me towards technology and all those wonderful shapes stirring to life upon the screen.
The first attempt to find a synthesis between them was when I graduated with honors in Digital Cultures and Communication at University of Naples Federico II. Then, after some studies and experiments as a copywriter, I started to work as a web designer in small web agencies and discover new fields as user interface design and user experience design. The latter, in particular, seemed to be what I was always aspired to do: listening, observing, think and design (then repeat again).
The goals I pursued during my journey at the Apple Developer Academy in Naples were indeed to refine my skills and learning new tools in UX and UI design, embracing the design thinking not only as a method, but as a new way to define my relationship with technology.
My career in UX/UI began at Green Network Energy, a company in the energy sector where I redesigned the main digital touchpoints to align with the brand’s new values and visual identity. The next step was joining Assist Digital, a tech consulting firm that gave me the opportunity to challenge myself on projects across different industries (mainly in the telco sector) and to work with more structured methods in diverse teams — not just designers.
